Jay Stern
An experienced, proven home inspection, healthcare, and nonprofit leader for over 30 years, Jay Stern has an indelible reputation for delivering innovative business strategies, customer-focused solutions, and results. His broad home inspection, healthcare, and nonprofit experiences have focused on building start up and growth organizations, while mobilizing top-tier talent and creating high-performance cultures.
In his current role, Jay is the Chief Customer Officer/Franchise Owner and a Licensed Home Inspector with Pillar To Post in Oklahoma. His Oklahoma Home Inspectors’ License, #70001671, is governed and regulated by the Construction Industries Board (CIB) within the State of Oklahoma. Jay is a Certified Home Inspector by both Pillar To Post Home Inspectors and the American Home Inspectors Training Institute (AHIT). In addition, Jay holds a Certification from the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP) to conduct “Residential Radon Measurement”. Also, the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) has granted Jay a Certification as a “Certified Pool/Spa Operator” (#CPO-566150).
Prior to joining Pillar To Post, Jay was Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Strategic Accounts for Wolters Kluwer Health/Pharmacy OneSource, a division of a $5 billion global information company and leader in web-based, “patient surveillance” solutions, identifying “high risk” patients for clinical interventions. At Wolters Kluwer Health, Jay led a Sales and Marketing team of 25 through a company acquisition, doubling revenues in the process.
Before joining Wolters Kluwer Health, Jay was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Pulsion Medical Systems, AG. In this “Managing Director” role, Jay led the U.S. division of this Global Medical Device company through a complex financial turnaround, achieving 30% market share with its product lines.
Prior to working at Pulsion Medical Systems, AG, Jay was Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and 3rd Party Contracts for Akorn Inc., a publicly traded (NASDAQ), specialty pharmaceutical and ophthlamic company. Leading a team of 35 at Akorn, Jay was responsible for doubling hospital sales to $20 million. Concurrent with his role at Pillar to Post in Oklahoma, Jay is a passionate and tireless advocate for cancer patients and families. Since December of 2008, Jay has volunteered with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan), a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer. As the statewide leader and Oklahoma Affiliate Chair, Jay started up, built, and grew PanCan’s Oklahoma organization into becoming the “go to” resource for Pancreatic Cancer in the state of Oklahoma. As the leader of PanCan in Oklahoma, he manages six (6) “core role” leaders to execute the national mission/vision in the state. Since 2010, Jay has been a member of Stephenson Cancer Center’s (@ The Oklahoma University Medical Center) “Board of Advocates”. This group is dedicated to educating the citizens of Oklahoma about this “world-class” facility in education, clinical research, and patient care.
Jay received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree from Miami University (Oxford, OH) and he attended Miami University in Luxembourg, completing its International Business Program curriculum. He also holds certifications from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in Advanced Marketing and Nonprofit Management, respectively.
Jay is a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), the Edmond (Oklahoma) Chamber of Commerce, the Edmond (Oklahoma) Board of Realtors, and the Marketing Executive Networking Group (MENG).
Jay lives with his wife, Amy, in Edmond, Oklahoma. They have two adult children and three grandchildren.
